Bass on 51+ is tighter and more correct. It’s that last step your optometrist dials in at the end of an eye exam. They are so close but the SW is just tighter in all ways. It sounds really dialed in and speakerish in tone.

Using GE JAN tubes on ZDT JR. Stock on 51+.

I love the staging of the SW51. it's rather deep, but not too wide, and yes, definitely puts instruments in front of you instead of between-the-ears. Not sure about wraparound staging, I've never heard that before, but I do like the SW51's way of presenting musical information.

Good tubes allow that. Signal is less "wronged". Based on what excellent ss speaker amps can do it should be possible for headphones, an experience so far eluded me.

I guess I'm not really over and out. I'm just going to adjust my expectations for this site and it's leadership. I'm sure I don't understand all of the challenges they face, so I'll change myself and my posts instead of expecting others to change.

How did you fix the Brainwavz on the Focals...there website does not indicate they work with Focal unless I'm missing something...

Try Utopia pads on the Elear. They’re not cheap, but they really fix the stock tuning.
