Only thing that made me tolerate mornings was having a good music setup in my cubicle. And even then...coffee was required.

I'm glad the job is working out well, even during mornings!

But nothing could make ma a morning person, especially now, after 20 years of being able to live by *my* bio clock, not somebody else's hours.

I cherish starting work early and getting off before rush hour in SoCal

I've found people who have accustomed to doing jack shit are suddenly asked to do their jobs to be the prime drama generators.

When you grow up surrounded by preachers and know-it-alls you learn to listen. I am grateful I have some very honest friends.

It's good fun so far. Emily Armstrong does not quite have the soul and depth of Chester during his more tender tracks, but she's got a hell of a voice and the new stuff is interesting to move around to and get stuck in.

Emptiness machine. Not bad at all.

Good on you. Its hard work and can be a real grind, but new skills move things forward in a way that few things can.

My 10 year old recieved the same thing and I have spent more time with it trying diff. melodies. Hard to make it sound bad, and really easy to feel like im in a spa waiting for a mud bath!

Would love a hang drum. But it seems they take vast numbers of hours to make and tune, so are quite expensive. Not surprising, really. I guess this is similar.

Cheers to your learning, man. Having over 20 years on guitar, there are these spiritual moments of deep gratitude. Something about the physical, direct creative feedback loop has the power to give you experiences that put everything else into unified context.

Suddenly everything makes sense, like everything prior was to place you in this perfect moment where you are both the witness and architect to the dream. Everything melts into "I'm so glad I picked this up today."

In a better world, everyone would be connected to such experiences, but alas.
