Manufacturers charge a premium on official replacement parts. They can outsource to have things assembled more cheaply than it is for them to warehouse the parts. Another problem of things made far away.

Mummy and I always sang a duet of Ps. 114:5–8 at the seder. It was composed (as far as I know) by my grandfather, a cantor. And in times past, they would sing it together. Now, I have no one to sing with. I'm trying to make the best of it. I arranged it for one voice, and my wife enjoys it. But it feels meager, and so hollow.

Gungnir A1 was a beauty. I enjoyed many mornings making a coffee and putting on MJ2 + Gungnir Multibit. Yggdrasil A2 is superb, but I have fonder memories of the no man land DAC.

Tbh I feel that Schiit doesn't "need" to fill in that price gap. Wouldn't be surprised to see that slot being empty for a few years. Gungnir to me was always kind of in a weird spot performance/price wise, especially when the OG BF2 got released

It’s much harder these days than it used to be. For 80s/90s cars I used to change them with just a few screws. Modern cars have filters and batteries in the way and it can take at least an hour.

Good thing LED lights last much longer

@Armaegis - I wasted about half a day recently trying to troubleshoot electrical & fuses when I had *5* lights on my car go dead seemingly all at once. And yes, it turned out to just be the bulbs in the end. D'oh! Was a good refresher in Occam's razor.

@Soups is it really Occam's razor though? 5 bulbs all at once makes me think it was definitely an electrical problem first... although I suppose maybe something caused a current surge which popped all the lights

Precisely same timing as Mummy's death. Only the first year was hard—but *very* hard. I alternated between being very busy and sleeping a lot. And every second Friday or Saturday night, I drank a whole bottle of good rye to knock myself out. What a relief! The only thing I should have done more of was pray. I prayed most days before bed. But that wasn't near enough. I should have been praying several times a day.
