Holy crap, that's horrible. So young, so sudden...our brain often has a hard time comprehending this. Please take what people are saying seriously, if you're feeling out of sorts, talk to people. Take care of yourself.

Sudden cardiac death, brain aneurysm, etc. are especially hard to process when the person was so young. As others have mentioned this is a time worthy of counselling, therapy, group grieving, whatever works to help process a difficult situation. My condolences to you and everyone affected by the death.

Nick says they actually have some, even though they're not listed on the site. I've been toying w another Leck or the Pico Power. I do wish the Leck used a different dac, but it's not bad.

After giving Neco feedback on the V5 he said he's going to make some small changes, and if he has time may do some testing to make other opamps available. He'll probably need some prodding though. The V5 seemed pretty great at the time, aside from the veil/overly-smooth sound.

Not exactly the smallest "portable" amp, but I highly recommend the Mass Kobo 404. It's even powerful enough to drive full size headphones like the abyss with authority, the only gripe is that you need 6 AA batteries to operate it haha.

UE4 is awesome. It's my favourite monitor <$750. It's a mini UERM. Less resolving but more forgiving.

Yep, UE4 is on my short list.. as is the UERR, JH13v2. Jomo Audio's neutral offerings are intriguing, as well. Wish that Hidition was easier to deal with for stateside folks.. and that they had something (new) sub-$800 that caught my fancy.

I highly recommend UE4, especially for the price. Jomo 6R looks good, but expensive. UERR is music with the life taken out of it... It's like drinking soylent.

..and it's getting delivered tomorrow! LMAO. Always nice that ALO just on the other side of town for me.. but dayum!

Why not just drive over and pick it up?

1) Going out of town in the morning

DJ Mighty Atom (of DMC fame) put together an absolutely BADASS Endtroducing-themed mix for Solid Steel (and anyone who knows Ninja Tune/DJ Food/Solid Steel knows they don't fuck around when it comes to mixing.. this mix is no different.

Bloody hell this makes me feel old!

The headband and especially the metal gimbal/holk/extender parts that connect to the cups are very malleable. You can actually screw things up if you fiddle with it too much. :)
