You mean you replaced an A1 with an A2/OG, I assume? Be sure to let us know what you think.

Sometimes you hear a remaster so bad you question the health of the engineers. Especially when it's Sgt. Pepper's.

Turns out lockdown has resulted in a lot of tube wear and tear, so I've had to shell out tubes for the first time since I stopped my crazy tube rolling adventures. But none of my normal vendors carry 6n3p for some reason.

According to me, a lot of modern management thinking is just crap, but it was an evil day when someone thought of dividing a company into cost centers and profit centers. Like just working together wasn't good enough?

Wonderful. This is just so audiophool that I find it almost tempting.

Except that if the motor driving the pot on an amp is so noisy, it must be lousy engineering.

And if there *is* such a thing, real audiophools would just do without remote.

the funny thing is that it looks like the motor is attached at the know, not as part of the potentiometer box. It looks like the belt drive is just so they could lay out the thing with the pot in the center. Also, it should be mentioned that the box for the pot is apparently solid copper, they just decided to paint it black for some reason.

I was playing dota2 and civ5. Played some civ6, confirmed I still hate it and moved on.

I started with the x99 platform, and stuck with it. I run some other things on this computer via VMs, so the extra threads are useful. I will say that the slower clock speed versus my old 4790k from a couple years ago actually caused a minor decrease in performance for games, but not enough for me to get upset about
