Is there anything similar to the Eames lounge chair that isn't $6000? I like the look, but even in the future, cant justify 6k on a chair. Jul 22, 2018 at 9:31 PM

Best part is that it, FIRST, reclines the footrest FULLY; then gradually reclines the torso/back-angle; then upon further recline stage, it lowers the back, almost fully-flat, w/ final recline stage letting me control the headrest angle into a fully-flat or slightly-tilted head position.
It's great for gaming w/ only feet being fully up & while the torso & head... only slightly/half-way/almost or fully-reclined back.

Also, I never owned an actual "Lounge Chair". As I don't see any real necessity to owning non-adjustable furniture.

But my family & I own a regular Ekornes Recliner w/ ottoman; a Danish Motorized/electric Recliner, an Ekornes office/desk-style Recliner w/ casters+spring, as well as, a Herman Miller Embody chair, which is REALLY comfy.

So if ya have any specific questions about any of 'em; you're welcome to ask me.

BTW, that Danish "motorized/electric" recliner was $1800; probably even under $1500, if you can get the cheaper leather-types/hides.
The Ekornes recliners were, both, wayyy over $2K, unfortunately.
The Herman Miller Embody chair (that partially reclines, kinda like a lounge chair?) was, I think, $1300.

I'm not sure how large, a budget, you're willing to save-up, for any of this types of products; so, do let us know.

If it is just vinyl, you can use Simple Green.

@spwath Nah, I was just making a joke about the show, how the main character seems super excited and bewildered when someone suggests they could make a book out of this. And how he later writes down BOOK in his notes or something. Just found it funny.

Figures. Glad we both found our way here. Kind of floors me still that the staff don't bat an eye when their forum can't retain knowledgeable members; but I guess that wasn't a concern from day one.

        spwath
It also has a built in amplifier. Im not sure, are there bells inside? Does it play them? How? Does it play the tape? Does it play the bells from the tape? I saw it at goodwill, but $50, so I didn't buy. https://imgur.com/kgEhSsX

Looking more, it appears there may be no bells inside, and it just plays recordings of bells. Still a very interesting machine, and if it decreases in price, ill buy it.

Is the hum still there when the inputs are unplugged? If you have a shorting cap that would be useful too. Do you have idea what sort of gain is being applied in the software?

No hum unless inputs are connected. Im at 0db gain in minidsp software. I could try lowering it, as that is the max. What is a shorting cap?

Likely not significantly. It has local regs and the one in very front looks to be buck converter, which blocks most of the benefit upstream can give.

Solder speaker wire to them, heat shrink, and then just plug them in the binding post. The diameter of the circle with the "teeth" apart is larger than the typical binding post, so when you insert them it makes contact with the entire inside of the post as the teeth compress together.

Blue Jeans Cable can also put together a set for you with the Canare and hypersonically weld to their GLS locking banana plugs.
