Congrats! I finally chanced it and saw my parents down in FL for the first time in 2 years. Cali is definitely a great visit.

We are still here in Monterey! We just kept extending our stay. Tonight will be 13 nights. We’re going to head home tomorrow before the bomb cyclone hits Sunday.

The same thing happens to me all the time with the full screen button! Does anyone test these UI’s out before they inflict this crap on us?

Wish Youtube-vanced worked on Apple products. Was watching a Beatles video that was 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Had maybe 20 minutes left. I had to go to the bathroom. Tried to pause. It went back to the beginning. So frustrating. And unnecessary. Done bitching.

Thanks or the reminder. Only this morning I was trying to fsat-forward on youtube-vanced, and couldn't make it happen. Must check the settings.

My phone is rooted, but my tablet isn't. Great that 'vanced now works on non-rooted devices!

Sorry, the reigning champ is still Apple Siri remote. Failure in pretty much all possible ways.

Now if all smart-phones as a standard would get the menu/main-menu/home button back I would be ten times happier. Nokia used to do this perfectly: green button, home/menu button, red button. So simple, so effective.

I hated the Fire Stick remotes as well. I ended up using my Logitech Harmony Hub which allowed me to use my phone as the remote for the Fire Stick.

We need a band like the Ramones and the Hives again. Just raw energy and good music. Sure Royal Blood is out there, the Linda Linda's are simply special...

As a watch guy I actually enjoy setting the correct time. I even go to the NIST atomic clock site to set the time exactly to the second.

I just checked the dynamic range database. It’s been compressed. Quite a bit. The person posting the measurements commented that the album sounded tinny.

The one to get is the 2010 hi-res remaster (not remix). It’s out of print now but it is lovely and dynamic and the best I’ve ever heard the album sound.

I owned the original vinyl when it was first released. The 2014 remaster just doesn’t sound right. Like a lot of remasters. I wish they would just stop trying to screw around with things that don’t need to be fixed. They got the damn thing right the first time. I’d love to hear the 2012 remaster. Hopefully I can get it someday. It’s a wonderful album that really shows George Harrison‘s talent.

He tried to use a more standard mix and they lose something, it changes the feel to the songs. Not a complaint about the sound quality. Just the mix.

I call the restaurant to let them know DoorDash isn’t working. The person tells me that they have no way of contacting DD, but she has a phone number I could call and talk to someone! I’m I missing something here?

Just ask if the restaurant uses other courier services like Uber Eats.

@Gaspasser they don’t. I guess I couldn’t understand that they had the number to DD, but I had to call, because they didn’t have a way to contact them. Was actually funny to me, that they did have a way to contact them. Then she put me on hold to see if they could figure it out.
