Glad you are loving them! What are you running them with? Good news for you is if you like them after 250 hours, you are going to love them in like 6 months. I found that they just kept breaking in for a very very long time, finally felt settled after like a year.

@Inoculator On the digital side, I run the Rockna WD (Signature Balanced) to the Accuphase E 650 to the Fortes. Or, my TT through a NAIM phonostage to the Accuphase. Played around with the Elekit TU 8900 and decided I liked the Accuphase presentation better.

Hell yeah @Koth Ganesh , sounds like a great setup. I have always lusted after the accuphase stuff.

@Koth Ganesh if you're not attenuating too much from the WD it's pretty damn good.

@AdvanTech , if I am streaming (I use Roon on the Rockne WaveNet), then I use the Roon app to control the volume. I am still not there yet with the volume levels on the DAC when I use the CDT on the WaveNet (meaning I'm yet to find the right attenuation in this scenario).

Well, all pre-amps do is switch and attenuate, so "driving" is not a problem. So... you are controlling volume on the PC? In the old days, that was considered an audiophile sin!

What about when playing vinyl?

I heard it in Canjam and enjoyed the pair but it was connected to some extremely expensive DAC. When I heard the same amp with Utopia with RME DAC it was meh…so not sure how much say the DAC had in the combo

@Thad E Ginathom My last HP/amp combo. I sold the amp right after posting this (believe it or not).

@Ksaurav I have the Rockne Wavedream Balanced edition. So, yes an excellent DAC. I used to own the RME ADI-2. It was meh then as well.

Yes, and only millimeters away on the other side of the Faraday cage is 4 million volts. It was loud. Between the exciter and the discharge I measured approximately 110 dBC.

The Sonnet box I have that holds the Lynx card has its own power brick. That nervosa box is ticked. Any more air will come from an oxygen tank!

I plan to only use it my 2 channel system; although I wonder if the iFi iematch would help in that regard.

Bummer, if USB that compromised, that reduces the appeal by a significant margin. The DA11 goes for ~400 used, but a Lynx is around 600.

Yep, I have the cal with me (stock) and it works great with the dms
DMS isn't bad. Limited drive aside, it sounds enough nuanced by SS standards
