@Slade01 the Raal Ca1a sounded quite different from any Stax Lambda I have owned (Airbow SC-1/404 LE, Professional, 300LE, 202). The Raal sounded more meaty, less quick and agile. Which is not a bad thing if you want a more visceral experience

@JK47 Thank you for that. I didn't want to go through more rabbit holes. The Ca1a is quite a revelation for me though for what TOTL is really made of. But color me intrigued about estats and ribbon HPs now!

Haha, yeah. It's not like I'm gone. I just haven't really had time to pry myself away from work. But I think I will be able to breathe a bit easier soon. And then more time to resume projects that I have had on the back burner!

I've always thought about making a small amp for high impedance headphones. High-Z does not need a lot of current so you don't need big heatsinks to use it. Seems like apple went ahead and did that.

Well, I guess I'm chiming with this one because the majority of the movie was giant monsters fighting. And that's what it should be! Nobody watches these movies for Monarch or whatever the hell.

And it seems audience score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes kinda agrees with me. Batman v Superman was... decent but it could have shown more Batman fighting Superman, with the same level of mayhem as Man of Steel. Godzilla vs Kong is basically what I wanted Batman v Superman to be.

Yeah. I think... granted, Apple did try pretty hard, but this is still basically a grown-up Airpods Pro rather than a truly balanced, audiophile-worthy headphone.

Oh yeah, for sure. It took weeks to settle in... and I discovered my life isn't as "minimal" as I'd hoped. I still haven't set up and fired up a bunch of things... including the 3D printer to start the next phase of my pet project.

I hate moving. The payoff of the new place does not pay off until a month or so down the road. Enjoy!

Oh yeah, definitely! It's tiring as hell. The stacks of boxes are very demoralizing to look at... and Comcast is taking their sweet time with burying new cable so I'm stuck using cellular for work.

I have a GO2A std that has been on at my desk at work every day for years now, and often on overnight too. No issues. I also have a SE that does less strenuous duty but did serve for many months as my primary device for monitors, also no issues. Maybe because they don't move around much so no impacts?

I'm not a programmer and am just riffing off an old joke I heard, but if I'm afforded any opportunity to display my poor humour, especially at the expense of a shady company, I'll happily bite :))

And psh, I'm grateful for any instruction. Let's just say I owe you tea or otherwise if and when we get to hang out, haha.

And I'm still waiting for anything better in this form factor. Looking at Hel for work when that lands, though, but that's a different deal altogether.

Yeah, maybe I'm just so happy to finally have a decent sounding DAC that only needs to have a single USB cable plugged in to operate (RCA non-withstanding). Reduces cluster on my desk. Not like I don't already have 10-20 other cables running all around... Plus my outlet is happier, too. Win win.
