JK47 - apparently significant budget cuts to FD a few months ago + double whammy of insurance companies cancelled plans months ago because fire risk became way too high - all because local gov did not allow cleanup to reduce fire risk (which IMO SHOULD have happened after the Calabasas fire a few years ago...).

Feels inappropriate to go on about this right now though.

We done bunch of CanJams and the other Marriot's never had issues like this before or least not at this level. Even included the first screwup by FedEx in our CanJam coverage video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4JPwUjJ4rU

Spoke to Woo and they also, had issues with FedEx picking up their packages and that is possibly resolved by their 3rd scheduled pickup. Got the update just now that pickup occurred, tracking shows 3 boxes hadn't been scanned yet though. Maybe just a clerical error right now, but got pickup number 5 scheduled tomorrow.

Our little headphone meets are always awesome since I get a chance to talk with folks but also to hang out. Shoutout to those who put that time and effort to organize our meets!

Might have a table next year and not be able to just walk around and talk one day, run around and listen the next…was an awesome weekend seeing everyone!

Chord Alto Pro, new headphone amp from Chord. Features tech from their Ultima series amps scaled down for headphones. 4 HP out, speaker taps on rear for 50W and 1U rack mount size. Price is around $3k when converted to USD. Was a solid sounding amp that is unfortunately not available for us to sell, Chord sells Pro stuff direct so not available through dealers. Though maybe a consumer ver one day

Scammers took like a metal rod and cut it to a point and then stuck it in a bottle cap. Parents are all good, seemed like it might have just scammers trying to hustle them

I would say the technical issues were pretty embarrassing for a premium audio company. But there was that slight glimmer of hope that with their push on Head-Fi of the livestream there might have been something more than just more wireless products. Honestly it was pretty great cohesion in my opinion. 64 Audio really hit the nail on the head when it comes to hybrids.
