try to check out some westone's somewhere if possible, definitely a distinctive house sound. haven't heard the 4/4r in a long time but iirc they're rolled off on top and are pretty warm/bassy. ask shotgunshane i'm sure he'll be better at telling you about them.
I had a quick and dirty try of it (<2 minutes out of a Clip) long time ago but if memory serves it made singers sound like they all had a cough when they went recording. Definitely give it a try first.
I moved from the 4R to the orion and I definitely prefer the orion overall. The 4R had more bass, and it extended more with a lot of width.. but the upper midrange was quite lacking and there was very little to no depth to the sound. They're not bad but the orions feel more natural sounding, and more detailed because of a neutralish frequency response and tonal signature
