I dig Reich but as a fan of Glass for a very long time it took me longer to get into Reich beyond an academic level. Something about the more frenetic feel of a lot of his pieces I think. Reich's compositions are often inherently moreso like percussion pieces whereas Glass's tend to be more often symphonic.

I have a friend who used to perform with Reich. My friend has recently published a thick book solely about triangle and tambourine technique. :)

I've posted about Music for 18 Musicians on here before. I think it is a masterpiece and one of the greatest compositions of the 20th century.
