I use it. I don't know if it helps or not. I hate shining my shoes. Here's what is supposed to be the best stuff:

Looks interesting, and the price isn't too bad! Might order a couple and see how that turns out.

And yeah, IIRC mink doesn't really do shine, but I hate high gloss on shoes anyway so it works for me.

I use the mink oil and then let it settle for a bit, then put a shine on it something else.

I actually rub mine down with a live mink. Really brings out the texture in the mids.

@DigMe I'd be surprised you can make out ANY midrange with a live mink. Have you heard those things in a rage? My ears need at LEAST a couple days to recover after! Only texture I got outta trying that are extra grooves in my flesh :((
