    I love The Count!

I used to love Sesame Street when I was a kid ...of about 40!

I generally agree, but sometimes documented dialogue like this is really helpful, especially since nobody just set him on fire and banned him immediately (thinking of some other sites...) This could go in a "How to Actually Make Friends and Have Conversations" thread.

    But...

    This post wins the thread.

All I can say is the signal:noise is very high. I don't have time to reread this whole thing but let's not take a community generally trending in the same direction (similar preferences in sonic signature, transducers, etc) as an "echo chamber." I think there are varied opinions on a lot of topics or choices, but most of us look for the same basic things in our gear. That is going to be the case with any community, unless you want it to turn into Hydrogen Audio (TOS 8 please show a brain scan confirming that is your favorite headphone!) or Head-Fi (shotgun spray of every possible opinion with no real glue to hold it together). People with the same interests, outlook, tone, etc. will clump together. If SBAF isn't that for you, I get it! But I think there is a good balance between open discussion and people not pretending to be totally objective, or giving every new gear tweak or mod the same weight (where is Deoxit guy? Good lord). People don't really get run off of here unless they show up to antagonize rather than say "I disagree, I really dig ___ because___." If the current crop of regulars don't line up perfectly with your tastes, just keep putting yourself out there and maybe people will try out that thing you mentioned, or point you to other gear you might ejnoy. Maybe someone else will come along and find your posts valuable and you'll form another corner of this community.
