What does everyone use to transport headphones? In particular the Sennheiser HD5xx/6xx type headphones.

I just ordered a Plano gun case for my DX1000. Cheaper than an equivalent Pelican or Nanuk. Kinda huge but it'll protect them and the cubed foam is easy to customize.

I got a HeadRoom case with some extra foam packed in there.

The Audeze cases are very well built though. Probably worth the price if you plan on moving your full-sized gear around a lot

I've been able to fit: hd800 and hd650 in the Audeze case at the same time. Or an hd800 plus a portable amp in the bottom section.

Wow- that's a good price. I have a Pelican for my HD800 and lined the sides with Creatology foam. I also use a Tenba photo lens wrap for separating the cable/connector/adapter from the headphones at the bottom of the case.

I really like the Plano case I bought. This case is complete overkill but is a great price. All weather, strong latches, lock and key, cubed foam to easily customize the size. Also, it's technically a gun case: Plano 108021

(Note: I got it at $60 and it looks like it went up in price at Amazon)

I did the creatology thing too for my HD800 in a Pelican, though I used the pluck foam to make a cradle for the connectors. The Monoprice is quite close in quality though I haven't tried dropping it out of a moving vehicle or overboard at sea to test the seals.
