    Haha, I just got it for that price, honestly (plus shipping). Not really a nice deal but it's at least less shipping cost and tax for someone else in CA.

    Black does look cooler than silver though. I don't know why Schiit doesn't offer black as an option for Modi Multibit on their site.

    I have no idea to be honest.

    Last time we did a comparison, it's slightly warmer sounding than Marv's sun-baked Jot, and that's all I know so far. Also has a matte silver knob instead of shiny.

    Got this some 5-6 months ago, by the way.

    Prob given a slightly different part from some supplier and a minor BOM change happens. Literally the case with every electronic device out there over it's lifecycle.
