As a five year old I loved to listen to records or the reel to reel Akai from my uncle. Later, I was lucky enough to start my audio journey with a refurbished Quad 33/303 + ESL55 electrostats with the Philips CD880 (w TDA1541 crown) as source. A Beard P35 tube amp then replaced the 33/303. I also dabbled with speaker building (Vifa and KEF based).

About a year ago, I've started building tube amps using Lundahl transformers - being unimpressed with amps I tried, and the performance of cheap transformers - yes those :) In making my amps, I look for emotional connection, speed/impact, natural timbre and depth in sound stage - and recently also the ability to drive the HE-6 headphone. I love the dynamics of push-pull, but can not do without the imaging and nuance of single ended amps.
