Same sentiment here about the trailer. On one hand I do like the more gruesome portrayal of the batman and his world. On the other hand, I am not able to make peace with the fact that the batman looks like a kid.
Farrell Penguin is the biggest puzzle of the week.
Might just be my perspective being skewed but given Bruce Wayne was supposed to start being Batman in his late 20s/early 30s I think Pattinson looks about right considering this is supposed to be the character's early years.
I'm a fan but that's mostly thanks to the animated series. Live films.... eh. Will watch it anyway if the world is still around by then. IIRC it's still in production? Trailer less credible.
@Lyander , you are spot on. I guess I am prejudiced by the comics, which portrayed Bruce to be quite burly even fresh-out-of-graduate-college. But I agree, it makes it easier to accept Pattinson in batsuit, if one knew he is just starting out as the caped crusader.
I also prefer the animated series over the live-action movies of DC in general. I believe so, right now the ETA is fall 2021.
@Poleepkwa , agreed. Sans the Adam West Batman series, none of the movies highlighted the detective side of him so far. I like that they are doing it in this one.
Joking aside, how has it already been 15 years since Batman Begins? Jeffrey Wright looks to be well cast here; and, agreed, a hard-boiled detective angle would be an awesome new direction.
