That would be a killer product. No tubes, no balanced to SE conversion, a simpler preamp with a smaller form factor and lower price than the Freya S/+

This, this, this. I for one just want a remote volume box...like a remote controlled Sys. You know how many vintage receivers would benefit from this?

Something similar has been considered and was discussed previously as well: “So would a Saga 2 that is a Freya S with less inputs make sense? As in, a smaller Nexus preamp? Consider that we're talking only one balanced input due to space limitations. Probably a total of 3-4 inputs. Probably $399 like Saga 2.”

The buffer stage in the Freya+ is useful but it’s crazy to buy one just for that. I’m not talking about simply a balanced Sys. But one with both passive and buffer modes. This would sell well I think.

Freya S has a 1X nexus mode. Is this not equivalent to a buffer stage? The idea Jason was throwing out is a mini Freya S in the first thread I linked.

I don't know :-? I was just told to get the Freya+ for the buffer mode rather than the Freya S.

Nexus is different from a JFET buffer, yes.
