WTB: Laconic NBM, NB-3A, or ZDT Jr [230v]

I‘d like to give the HD800 one final shake before I move them on, and get my first real taste of what a tube amp can do. I’ll accept any of the three in the title, I think they may actually be 220v which I believe is fine. Shipping will be to the UK.

Feel free to offer alternatives, or make suggestions. Key requirements are OPT, with high and low impedence outputs, and region appropriate voltage.

I appreciate the thought, thank you. With most of the toob action over in your neck of the woods this stuff is quite a rarity in my region’s voltage.

 

HD800 with a proper tube amp is indeed formidable. Hope you find what you need.

Search on Russian Bulletin boards. I have repeatedly met these amplifiers on sale. They buy fast. You have to watch it regularly. If you want to buy cheaper.

Just FYI, Massdrop should be currently dispatching replacement units of ZDT jr. in connection with the "hum-gate".

 

There's an Apex Teton classified on HF in the UK for a while, you might be able to negotiate the price. He has some tubes not listed but you should be able to get them included. You'll be hard pressed to find a better match for the HD800 without spending significantly more.
Feel free to pass by my place to hear the Teton. You can use the mighty 6528A tube for 27ohm output impedance.
