    Is it correct that the Zana Deux S line outs are actually preamp outs and not throughputs anymore?
    I though on my SE I had a few years ago they were throuhputs. Not sure anymore though.
    What about the BW? Preamp or throughput?

    There is not going to be a pre-amp out with the BW. The ZD is the least expensive headphone/pre they make.
    I would have liked a Pre_amp out myself. ….

    1. Throughputs / loopout: Just a loop of wire from the input. Nothing in between but a little bit of wire.
    2. Preamp out: Going through a tiny amp or buffer section. Preamps are needed to make sure the signal from source is strong enough to power an amp. Oftentimes employs a volume control. A lot of power amps tend to have low input impedance which will require a preamp. Long cable runs with increased resistance may also require the use of a preamp.
    ZD Super can double as a preamp. In fact, quite a few people use the ZD as a tube preamp into solid-state blocks.

    The second outputs on the last batch of BWs had only loopout. The current BW units going into production may not have loopout. No one uses them, but one can accomplish the same with with a Y splitter at the source.

    We are expecting production qualifier boards this week. We have a ton of chassis sitting around. First run is expected to be around 50 to be followed immediately by a second run of 50. Yeah, you can stick a Gungnir MB on top of it. I think maybe below it too (not sure). Hahaha. I think the Pyst cables might even work. Hahaha.
