I think it's getting lost in the wall of text, but I did point out that I measured these on a MiniDSP EARS and the silicone pinnae those have do NOT play well with supra-aural headphones; I mentioned that the headphones didn't sound nearly so lean in the bass as FR measured, but it was interesting to see how CSDs showed that later slices fill in almost immediately to the point where bass is elevated over the midrange (I pushed CSDs down to 30Hz for here).

These definitely have great bass extension and responsiveness. I mainly run these out of a Magni Piety in high gain because I hate burning tubes, but I do often visit the pairing with the MCTH which I immensely enjoy.

I've been saying since I joined the forum that I need to work on my brevity. Never happened, sigh.

    ERRATUM:

I likely have been reading too much into how CSDs show a resurgence in bass levels after a few slices. I forgot how CSDs worked for a bit and failed to take the reverb from the measurement rig into account. Still, I do hear a LOT more bass than FR suggests so that ought be taken into account when reading the impressions.
