    My favourite fire lookout / lightning-rod: Mt Bickford, Peace country, British Columbia. This is the 'luxury' W Canada layout, the kitchen downstairs complete with propane-powered fridge, and 4 bench seats/beds upstairs with room for more on the floor.

    I stayed in '93 & '94. Not sure when it was built, but it was reportedly renovated in 2013 so might have been even more luxurious. Sadly though it's no longer, it burned down in the fires of 2021 (but the outhouse, just out of sight below the crest, survived unscathed).
