Nothing crazy, anticipating needing a little boost on the 4670k when the GTX1080 arrives, so getting started early. The GTX 970 had a good run, even stock at 1080p and 1440p, but struggles with this newish 3440x1440 ultrawide
I have a 4K monitor (huge waste of money), so I'm golfing out to the 1080ti or the Titan. I'm on the x99 platform, so my chips are slow compared to yours at stock frequencies. I burned out my old Mobo trying to get 4 ghz
That's a bummer, thanks for the warning. Yeah I felt 21:9 1440p ultrawide was a good sweetspot, and looks really cool for the games that support it. Plus the length is nice for productivity. We'll see if this haswell i5 can keep up with the gtx1080...
