Angled Brainwavz are the same exact dimensions as the LFF pads that come on the Code-X / Code-6 / etc. He just stretches them to fit the plastic rings and then tapes them down. Not my favorite on the HE6 personally but it does help to tone down the treble and bring a bit of presence to the mids.
I think that is what is currently on mine. There is no Left/Right pad. The seam is at the top on one pad and the seam is on the bottom on the other pad. Good to know for spares. I never tried any of my Mr. Speakers pads, but I did love my Mad Dog / Alpha dog for what it was.
