Probably grab an amp only and that new snazzy Ifi iphono. I just don't see much about rag 2 besides the 12 page weird thread that didn't help much.

If you don't need MC and Vidar power, the Rag 2 is not only a better overall package, but better sounding package. The built in MM phono in the Rag 2 is better than Mani. Schiitr blind test, Rag 2 > Vidar.

@RatSalad You'd have to get the Rag 2 as just an amp, and then get the MM phono separately. Gives you 2 total SE inputs. Of course, you can always run a SE-to-Balanced cable into the balanced-in (this should be perfectly safe; my understanding is that the other way around raises questions)

So just an amp comes with 3 SE ... But if you order the mm phono it only comes with 1 ? If you order them separately you gain a SE input ?

Basically, as just an amp it comes with all the extra slots filled with SE inputs, giving you 3 total. By getting a phono card, you'd effectively replace one of the SE inputs with a phono-in.

That works even 1 would be ok I guess but phono plus 2 is even better. Both my dacs are XLR and SE. Might have to grab me a rag2 if I can fend off starlett purchase ...
