Resolving? No. Those high end CA IEMs are very resolving.

You need moar body hair RD. I have the stuff.

May want to try it on betterer gear, DACs, amps. I've never listened to CA stuff on super awesome gear because they are too sensitive. My met is that the lows are still smeared on JVC. However possible that highs could be betterer. BA tech has limits.

I’ve got the Solaris hooked up to Yggdrasil and it does scale but I still want mosr information.

I think 64 Audio Tia drivers are more resolving but every implementation has had totally unfixable fucked up tone and they only really use them for HF.

At this point are we not discussing hitting the limits of what tiny drivers can meaningfully resolve?

I doubt it. They’re tiny drivers but they don’t have to move much air. We might be at the limit of BA drivers though.

If you can take the bass, the Vega might be more resolving?

I haven’t heard the Vega but the Dorado was awful so I can only imagine…. I think a future ortho iem will do it. The Solaris sounds really good in most ways in the meantime.

I’ll admit, I enjoy the bass cannon approach of the Vega but ultimately it’s all slam and not much texture and that’s so disappointing for a bass heavy IEM.

How about the sony ex-1000, if you can find one? Seems like it has better bass resolution than FDX1 at least
