Yes. It's in my work rig. I'm on a couple great things right now so working all the time. I mostly work remotely so I'm always home in time to make dinner :-) Once things are under control here, I'll drag my LIM in for a comparison.
I’m looking forward to your Yggdrasil comparison. I use the E22 for AES out to Yggdrasil A1. I’ve never tried the DAC in the E22. I might need to give it a try.
I don't see a Hilo thread here and am thinking of opening a new one for it. I am planning to do a few comparisons: LIM, Geshelli J2 (it's a sleeper-great DAC), and the internal headamp Vs. Jot2. I'm a new Friend and unsure about the protocol of opening new threads. Just for reference, what's a good way to approach this?
I think of threads as invitations to ongoing conversation. If you have a one-off question or comment, then it’s best to use the general advice threads or make a profile post. If you have a product or family of products that will generate ongoing conversation over time, then it’s reasonable to create a thread. A dedicated thread for Lynx products seems like a good idea to me.
A new thread is warranted if you have product knowledge that was a time investment for you to acquire and that produced new, useful or interesting information that would be a disservice to bury.
I think it would be safer from reporting in the dac talk thread. FWIW hilo isn't very new to sbaf. It's known since Changstar era. It's even included in the very classic sbaf dac chart haha.
Thanks MellowVelo and roshambo123. I'm going to put more time in with the Hilo - it's the shiny new thing right now - and then do some comparisons and write them up in a thread.
Thanks, Vtory. That's what I'll do. I know it's an older DAC but still in production. I haven't been around that long, so I did not see the Changstar thread or the chart.
