You mean coaxial? bnc and coaxial (rca) is the same they both carry the same spdif signal. For the eitr just use coaxial there isn't any sonic advantage of using a bnc adaptor.
if your Gungnir Multibit's coax is used by one source like a cd player, you can use the RCA --> BNC adapter to plug the Eitr into your Gungnir Multibit's BNC input. Monoprice makes a $0.99 adapter
I think that the purist point of view is that digital coax RCA cables are all wrong, because the cable may be right, but the connector is never the correct impedance. BNC, on the other hand, is purpose-designed. Adapters are not going to right the wrong.
Correct me if that is all tosh! I have never had the need/opportunity to use the "right" digital cable/terminations.
Generally, though, even for analogue cables, I regard RCA as an unfortunate accident of history which audio got stuck with. Of course, in practice... I just shut up and use them!
