    They all moved to Florida.

Let’s get back on topic. Was there any affordable IEMs that wowed ya at the event?

I didn't try anything affordable. @shotgunshane is already a good resource here for that. A ton of great cheap IEMs, many tuned by Crinacle.

All decent and at worst unremarkable but still decent. Remarkable requires a price.

Before I go back to lurking this thread:

I know FR doesn't dictate everything, but seriously: nearly every single new IEM in recent memory is some derivative of one target curve or the other.

Looking forward to a dedicated review or impressions thread for Gungnir 2. What @purr1n describes as “wet” mids is a sound signature that I like, but oddly more for a speaker setup than with headphones. Still might be a good pairing with planars though, since the ones I’ve tried have had issues connecting the dots in the mids, and that makes everything feel a bit thin regardless of the FR.

(the asterisk on this is that I have a LCD-2 Classic and a LCD-X coming next week courtesy of the annual Audeze sale)

Edit: almost forgot to say, but I’m also very curious about how the new “multiform” I/V stage sounds on the single-ended output compared to balanced.

Congrats on getting them. I saw from your profile page that you have a Magni 3+. Just a head's up that this amp might not be the best amp to drive the LCD-2C. These are easy enough to drive to a loud volume but they really need a lot of juice to get going properly. The can sound anemic, thin, and dull when underpowered. From a beefy amp, they transform into something much tighter, snappier, more controlled, faster, cleaner and clearer, and they become incredibly impactful, and slam like a monster.

I had a poor time with the old Massdrop Cavalli Tube Hybrid and a Magni 3 with them. I had much better luck with a Mjolnir 1 and 2 as well as a Ragnarok v1.5. (The LCD-2C likes its juice so much that I could use the full, crazy powerful high gain of the Rag).

Hah, that's incredibly out of date. Thanks for letting me know. My main desktop amp is the Pietus at this point. So far I haven't heard anything that it can't power, including the HE6se V2. If it's still not enough, I do have a BasX A2mini with the jumpers installed around here...

If Schiit does anything to help move the remaining Rag2s for Brown Monday, I'm awfully tempted to pick one up for the office.
