Bought these from Ken at the SBAF meet a few weeks ago. I absolutely love them, one of my favorite headphones ever, but due to several things, i think i ought to get rid of them, or maybe i shouldn't have bought them in the first place >.>

will come with all accessories case/tips/etc...

there are a few teeny tiny little knicks along a few of the edges, but i cant even manage to get pictures of them, just throwing it out there for disclosure.

Ill let them go for 825 shipped/gifted...friends only. due to school and not having a car though they can really only get shipped out fridays or the weekend. Im actually just a dummy, there is totally another post office than the one i always go to and its on the way to school.

I think it needs to be done... :/

This also may or may not have something to do with my lust for a new LG OLED tv >.>

    hahahaha

it also doesnt hurt that i find the Pinnacle P1 to be mostly good enough, whereas my current television, while very good, is getting very long in the tooth...

Haha ive got you beat!! Ive got a Calibrated/Elite-Lite modded 9th Generation Pioneer Kuro Plasma, as you saw when you were over the other day :p

it needs replacment as it started buzzing when i got back from korea, never buzzed till then though. And i have this weird issue where if there are sharp/dark horizontal lines on any portion of the screen, they cast an almost "shadow" horizontally across the whole screen...its weird and havent seen anyone else mention it.

the only acceptable option now is the LG OLED TVs, this years models fixed most of the few problems in last years models. Id recommend the B6 unless you really need/want 3D, then youd need the E6.

OLED has infinite contrast and zero latency pixels, basically the perfect television

I loved those Kuro TVs. They were really a cut above anything else on the market at the time.

And for quite a while afterwards for many people.

    I'm rocking a Sony 40es pj on a 100" screen, loving it.

GL with your sale! I'd have grabbed them if i hadn't just picked something else up.

Id say they were a cut above anything else on the market until the OLEDs came out...though even then motion resolution suffers on the OLEDs, even if its the fault of our eyes and how sample and hold tech works, perception is reality so plasma is still better at that.

not to mention the current OLEDs arent as burn in proof as my plasma is

Having infinite contrast from pitch black is one thing, being able to exploit those black levels is a different thing altogether.
LG OLED have this problem we call "first step out of black" which is the step between the blackest level (true black in the case of OLED) and the step after which we can accurately model the response of the display and achieve the desired level.
In the case of LG displays, it manifests as a crushed blacks and loss of details in the dark regions.

Bottom line: yes the pitch black is awesome and makes the image float in the air and the screen disappear in the dark, but it's not nearly as perfect as the specs show.

Thats true, crushed blacks are a problem, along with the dithering problem in the deepest blacks as well...but they got better this year and they'll probably get better again next year.

I think OLED has the potential to be almost perfect and it just isnt there yet, thats why i still have my Kuro :p The kuro was super mature Plasma tech, maybe the best we saw, OLED just isnt as mature...yet

    edit:

if only we could have actually gotten the 10th gen Kuro from pioneer, they had supposedly fixed the idle current problem which would give us infinite blacks, and they also had a 9th gen panel that was as thin as an iphone, the 11th gen panel would have combined the two...oh what could have been if pioneer hadnt exited the biz

The Andromeda is the standout product this year for me period. I spent years being disappointed in everything but the UERM in the IEM space and all of a sudden this FOTM IEM is so good I'm picking it up over my big headphones.

If you got a deal, I'd consider keeping them and selling everything else. They're really remarkable.

I'd keep the the Andro's over the HD650's and related headphone amps, DAC's etc, cough cough...

I 100% feel the same way Ravi, they are absolutely stunning, now youve got me adding up how much I would get by selling everything else...cause i really do enjoy the Andros out of my phone more than my 650s out of the modibit/jotunheim stack...

@SoupRKnowva You don't just have any old pair of 650's, right? You have the ones that everybody at the meet agreed were the best sounding modded pair, right? That's gotta be worth some kind of premium price, no? ;)
