I've had my jeff bagby kairos speaker kit in the box for like 6 months. At some point I'll buy a router and saw and clamps and get started.. hopefully.. remind me to buy a kit with a flat pack next time :p

There seems to be a lot of buzz around the web for the late Jeff Bagby-designed Solstice MLTL floor speakers that seem to sound better than other larger and higher-priced contenders. The secret seems to be in the all-Morel driver selections. It is smaller than 40” high and does not seem to be overly revolutionary, but the experts seem to rave about these. The pair kit sells for around $650 on Parts Express, and that is with a $50 price increase. Check them out for yourself.

I'd add CSS Audio as well. Their kits are not cheap, but the Criton 1-TDX kit gave me everything I was hoping for beyond budget kits from Carmody/Parts-express and my Energy speakers.

Sadly, DIY Sound Group doesn't seem active much any more. I really wanted to try some kits there, but they were out of stock for years.

They seem to still have a few things for sale. Looks like the new Titan is available. I’m not sure how involved Erich is anymore, but Matt is still active on the forum. I think part of it, too, is so many of their kits use the SEOS horns, and as far as I know, those aren’t being made anymore. Not sure why they don’t just take those models off the website.
