MODS: The other thread I created gave a 403 forbidden. Sorry for the hassle, I think I made the thread title way too long. My apologies.

I have too much audio gear and it's time for a purge. All items come from a non-smoking, pet free environment.

*SOLD* I have no idea how to price this HE-6. Does $950 net to me sound reasonable? I'll knock off another $100 just for @brencho if he still wants a pair. Friends Only. Preferably CONUS (I'm super nervous about international shipping). I might consider contributors later if there is no interest. Here's what is included:
    • HiFiMAN HE-6 (4 screw version) - Bought in July 2019 from a member who had these as a backup pair. A couple very tiny nicks on the bottom of the ear cup, but otherwise it is in good condition. Has black gimbals. SMC connectors are not loose. (BTW by good condition I mean the standard HiFiMAN sloppy assembly and materials. However nothing has fallen apart on this pair)
    • YourFinalSystem SuperLitz 30 copper XLR cable to speaker taps. The main cable that connects to the ear cups 7 feet in length. The XLR adapter to speaker taps is 3 feet in length. The speaker tap connectors are wide enough to be hooked up to two Vidars in monoblock. I paid $385 for the entire cable. I purchased this July 2019.
    • I removed the grills and damping material in the cups, but I will put them back in before I pack for shipping. I also removed the quarter foam felt pieces. I think I have them in a ziploc somewhere and I'll throw those in too. I personally feel the removal of the quarter foam pieces and grills/damping material make a big difference.
    • A flight case that has custom foam cut out in the shape of the headphones. The headphones will be in the case and double boxed for shipping.
    • Pads - I have two ZMF Auteur pads: one microsuede and another that is leather. I also have a ZMF Pilot Pad in microsuede that goes over the HE-6 headband. The leather pads originally came with the headphone and they look like they are in barely used condition. The microsuede pads are still in great condition with minimal dust. The other pads I have are stock Velour on the headphones which are a dust magnet. I am including a new pair of stock Velour pads
Why am I selling this? For a couple reasons. I love speakers too much and they are getting most of my ear time. When I do grab a headphone, it's usually my beater HD650 pair. The more I listen to the HD650 (and now HD600), the more I can't get over the "recessed" midrange of the HE-6. There just seems to be this depression in the midrange that doesn't make vocals or guitars pop out as they do on the Sennheisers. The other thing I've realized is I can't do without the increased detail retrieval from the Sennheisers. While the HE-6 may deliver great bass, it lacks detail. I'm starting to become obsessed with resolution and noticing when the tiniest bits of information are missing (this is one of the reasons why I'm thinking of ditching the Convert-2 and keeping the Gungnir Multibit). Some of the other things I don't like could be attributed to the Vidars (like lacking in microdynamics) but sometimes instruments just don't sound right on the HE-6. I don't want to throw thousands more on amplifiers to get more out of the headphone. I know I am a terrible salesman haha, but this is still an incredibly visceral, slamming headphone. It has plenty of balls. But I get the same kind of slam with the Mjolnir 2 while having a seamless transition of bass/midrange/treble with the HD600, and also having the width of the HE-6. There's just things the HD6X0 do that I love that the HE-6 can't. Oh well. I hope someone another friend here can enjoy these.

Other gear I'm getting rid of.

    For Friends and CONUS Only:

Valhalla 2 - $210 net to me (PayPal/Shipping included) - 50hours on stock tubes - bought brand new from Schiit in February 2019. Comes with original packaging, cord and tubes. This is in mint condition. With owning the Mjolnir 2, there's no point keeping this.

    Interest Check:
Goldpoint SA1X - $325 net to me (PayPal/Shipping included). Bought brand new from Goldpoint September 2019. If I keep the Convert-2, then I'm keeping this pre-amp but curious if there would be anyone who would want this thing. It's in mint condition.

DM Convert-2 - $1850 net to me (PayPal/shipping included). Bought brand new from B&H Photo September 2019. I am still evaluating it and the Gungnir Multibit. I'm only keeping one of the two, but I'm leaning towards the Gungnir because of the resolution. I have the original packaging and manual. I babied this thing by keeping a dust cover over it when not in use, so it is in mint condition.

    For Friends and Contributors CONUS:
*SOLD*Magni 3 - Free (just send me $15 to cover shipping/PP fees). Bought back in July 2019 brand new from Schiit. Great condition. Will come with stock wall wart. I am not sure if I still have the original packaging and manual, but if I don't it will be packaged well.

I think that is everything thus far. I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend.

I hope these prices are reasonable. Like I said, I have no idea how to price that HE-6. It is listed here for less than what I paid for but I hope with the included cable, pads and stuff this is a good deal for someone.

I've sold stuff to @Hands and @Ice-man , if you want to ask them about me as a seller, if that is important to you. I only have two seller feedback on Head-Fi, both are positive. A few seller feedbacks on eBay, these are positive. Feel free to ask me via PM and I'll send you over what my profiles are on eBay/HF.

Might have some more miscellaneous free stuff to get rid of in the future, like cables. Not sure yet.

If the Magni is still around, I'd take it.

*whatever* you asked/needed? Man I’d say your needs extend well beyond the terms of sale

    HE-6 and Magni sold.

Price drop on the Valhalla 2.

Still checking to see who may be interested in the Convert-2. I'm not eager to part with it yet. I'll have a better idea when Unison is available for the Gungnir.

Mods, would it be ok to close this thread and I open a separate one for the Convert-2 and Valhalla 2?
