    First off, I think I would need to see and evaluate Hands' crack and determine if it's a nice crack. I might even have to have my wife evaluate it.

    Actually, I had an opportunity to listen to it, and now I think I should have.

    @Jun how much would you pay for most of the tubes? Maybe we can work something out.

Don't forget comes with a 5998 rebrand, Goldpoint stepped attenuator (costs somewhere around $130 new I think), other various mods, etc. Fully loaded Crack with plenty of tubes to keep you busy!

    Im in Denver and I borrowed the crack to audition. It sounds lovely. I'm still not sure if I can hear a difference between it and my crack, but I'm gonna try. I took some pics to help hands sell the thing, in case I don't buy it. I'm bored in my hotel room :)

    I finally took pics too, not yet uploaded, before letting @AllanMarcus pick it up for audition and possible purchase, as well as took notes on exactly what mods are included (that I'm familiar with, having purchased pre-modded) and a full list of tubes (also in pics above). I think anyone that wants to buy this is getting a lot of stuff for the asking price.

    I did not build the amp, but Hands sent me this amp awhile back when it developed serious ground noise issues. One of the PS rail caps had a loose solder joint, and i wasn't happy with the signal wire routing so I replaced critical signal wire runs and shortened/cleaned-up other runs to the best of my ability. I went through the entire amp, removing and inspecting the SB boards, reworking solder joints. It's dead silent and sounded great.

    The Goldpoint is $165 + shipping. I added the Jantzen caps along with the PS choke. I used some Neotech wanky wire that is a dream to work with and solder.

    I really liked the aged patina on the amp. It looks retro and authentic. I would be proud to have it sitting on my hi-fi rack.
