well gang, i've gone and sampled forbidden fruit from the final frontier, the land of no return — reel to reel. I would like to offset some cost for the machine that has beckoned my name and speaks ever so sweetly to me in my analog dreams. I am listing the following items that I intended to keep, but the fever is high and the wallet is thin.

Both units are in the same immaculate condition as I received them from Sina. I've even added the Abbas badge for the front panel as it arrived without one. $20 shipping for a $5 finishing touch all the way from Ukraine. More than justified to complete the beautiful piece.

Next up, we have the following:

Acquired mid 2021 and in service until January 2022 averaging around 2 hours per listening session 3-5 days per week is my best guess. After much rolling, these were my final tube complement for Don Sachs Kootenay 120 amp and preamp. I don't have a tester, but I believe there's plenty of life in these since they are conservatively biased, and according to Don, significantly extends tube service life compared to other units out there.

Anyway, I was finally happy with the sound. So what does a nutty tubehead set out to do once the grail has been found?

And that ladies and gentlemen, leaves us without the fairy tale ending. As you may have already guessed, (duh... NOS, wars and rumors of wars) caused extreme nervosa of losing the sound. Having already shelled out $600 per quad of scarce desirables, what was I thinking? Shiiiiiiyettttttttt..... no time for that nonsense. Let's GOOOOO!!!!

Despite trying my best, I could not come up with another set... so, I immediately pivoted and began the search for worthy solid state so as to be done with tubes (yeah right) and be able to say with a cheerful heart — good riddance, adios mi amigos de thermionicos!!!

Today's listings will be speakers!

Here we have a shot of the dedicated listening room, aka garage, as it was mid 2021. Up front you can see the 100db sensitive Lii Audio Silver-10 or now called Origin S-10 on their website. The completed speakers retail for $3000.00 and ~$300 shipping. These are large and arrived in individual crates. Silver-10 drivers alone retail $1199 plus shipping.

For those living outside of SoCal, shipping will be very challenging but not impossible. I am more than happy to work with a serious friend who wants them. They are presently in storage wrapped in blankets. Asking $1000 net to me, LA/OC delivery included, shipping elsewhere by freight TBD.

I believe I was among the first to order these late 2020 back when the Silver-10 drivers were announced. I suppose they didn't have the new S-10 backplates available yet and shipped what they had on hand. Crystal-10 was the previous flagship driver. You can easily identify the differences between them.

[SOLD] Next up: Silverline Audio Minuet Grand — circa January 2022.

They debuted at the 2017 Los Angeles Audio Show and made the Alfie Award list for Best of (show): in Speakers. The Minuet Grand are $1999 retail at Silverline Audio, and should still be available built to order. I first experienced the Silverline Audio sound signature through their diminutive and deceptively powerful micro monitors — Minuet Supreme Plus. I'll be adding them to the listing as well.

Last but not least! Silverline Audio Minuet Supreme Plus — circa December 2021 to January 2022.

This mighty mini monitor was a shocking surprise in my system and prompted me to sample more of Alan Yun's masterful audio engineering. They were originally available in Rosewood, but no longer available. My pair is gloss black. Retail $749 at Silverline Audio. Last I heard they were running very low.

check out Nemo's take, there really isn't any online coverage for Silverline Audio but they were very very active at the shows up til 2017 and consistently well regarded in the trade pubs.

Look up Andrew Robinson’s YouTube review just to see the Brand getting some press. I got my set way before they started getting noticed. Lii Audio or Lii-Song has been picking up steam in Canada, but are anchored here in the US by Decware as distributor.
