From my own experience with the Gungnir A1, that's the one to get! LIM does sound interesting tho... But if I had to blind buy: that's the one I'd cop, too! Congrats on an excellent DAC, hope it serves you well :)

It really has the wow factor! Works for me since I don’t listen as much as I would like due to other commitments, but I can see the value of LIM and how it could be better for longer less fatiguing sessions.

Hmm, the only thing I don't own from that (mystery owner's) audio-stack is a TT & a Raggy. But since a "Very Tubey" Raggy Upgrade is (hopefully) coming sometime in 2018... I shall await the inevitable: by getting that last piece of Schiit, one way or another!
(I'm sorry, Aficionado, you are & always will be, just "a bit" way out of my budget.)

@Melvillian, I need to get my ears cleared out once or twice a year, Sadly, it no longer has the really dramatic effect that it had just a few years back.
@Pyruvate. it would have *dried,* in time. But some ear canals are better (ie worse!) at the trapping-water thing than others.

Completed my vintage Parasound trinity stack with r2rDAC/preamp/amp. With speakers and Orbit TT, everything came out to be $1500. Took about a year of patiently buying and selling gear to get to where I am, but it paid off. More details on my profile.
