If it’s a better mastering than any red book version and it’s an album I love, up to $20 for a single album and $30 for a double. Although usually the hifi merchants have discounts or coupons so I normally pay less.

I haven't tried it yet but I feel like high sample rates are beneficial in a system with DSP. All that digital processing means that you get less digital artifacts after applying filters.

Yes... I saw that too, could be different chips, could be my cheapo meter. BTW Holo Spring 1 L3 was about the same 25W while the uge Denadrips Terminator needed only 15W. Again, according to my meter

The MJ1 and the Rag both have about 1-2 warm up time to really open up the low end and sound smooth. It is almost like a multibit DAC.

We have an acrylic case that holds the PI, the PI2AES and the 7". Not saying Volumio won't still suck though!

@Qildail There's a big difference between airport express (which allows limited forms of streaming by airplay) and CCA which allows streaming (Roon!), but also runs Spotify, Tidal etc locally. You can switch off your phone after starting a playlist and it will continue playing.

The HD8xx refund was enough for the SUP + a a bunch of other minor treats, including audio gear @rhythmdevils. The $9 pair of '77 Voskhod 6N23P's that just arrived are very pleasant indeed.

Just as long as it works with roon I'm all in. Would probably keep qobouz though cause it's been good to me.

@imackler I am certain Spotify was going to charge more for lossless, and Apple undercut them.

I also dislike the library limits imposed by all streaming services for unexplained reasons. The Tidal app stops working well after a certain number of songs are added but it works great via bubbleupnp
