selling some like-new pmx2 headphones from audio zenith. i don't really want to sell these since my plan was to take them to work. they're portable, fold flat into a nice carrying case, and are super well built and pretty damn efficient. i was using them on a loaner soekris combined dac/amp and they sounded really good. i was hoping they'd work straight out of my zx2 dap to avoid the cost of a whole other work rig, but i just wish it had a bit more gain out of the zx2. and as it is, i don't want to buy a second rig for work.

anyway, these are super well extended and nail tonality. super low distortion. no idea how alex does it but they're remarkable. very detailed. similar soundstage as the hd6x0. similar tonality to my former code-x. the code-x is just way less efficient and has a wider and more diffuse stage than the pmx2.

these include carrying case, box, extra cloth pads and extra leather pads, a long 1/4" cable, and 2 shorter 1/8" portable cables. hesitating on the sale since they sound really good but don't want to swing a second system for the office.

Damn - right headphone at the wrong time of the year! What will you be using in place of them? I have a Paradox that will be used to try and fill that same work role.

I wouldn't buy anything to replace them. I'd just keep using the Andromeda since that's what I use for commuting and they work fine out of the zx2. I really like the pmx2 and want to see if I can find a way to keep them but I don't want to buy another amp/dac for work! Paradox sound great as a work can too btw.

 

Which version is this? Does it have velour or leather pads?

EDIT: I see the description says you include extras, was just wondering if these are PM2 pads or the modded ones.

 

Oh man, surprised to see you selling these but GLWS. PMx2 are headphones you take home to meet your parents.
