IEMatch goes in between your headphones and the V2/+ ... no bypassing anything.

The IEMatch is just an adapter to change the OI. I use it between the gov2+ and the Andromeda.

Think of the Ifi thingy as a little headphone extension cable with a resistor in it. It does nothing at all on its own, it just affect the sound of whatever its plugged in to.

@brencho is talking about using the iematch plugged directly into a phone's headphone output I assume.

what @Merrick said. presumably the ifi would change the sound of the andro by modulating the OI since the andro is affected by that shit. so the real question is whether the V2+ sweetens the andros further or not.

Only at the gym do I plug the IEMatch into my iPhone 6+. Anywhere else I use the gov2+ as well. It's really an incredible dac/amp. Probably better than mojo+andromeda although I haven't A/B'd the two.

OK, got it. Nope, V2+ has lower OI than your phone, so it will be bassier. V2+ with the IEMatch should be close to your phone. Your phone with IEMatch may be too bright...hard to say what it does to an OI that's already higher.

Hm, just throwing this out there. I have a Schiit Vali amp...if I threw this IEMatch in between the amp and say, my V-Moda M-100s (the hiss is pretty bad on those things when hooked up to the amp), would that resolve the hiss situation?

Hmmm...those are not in the same sort of sensitivity league as Andromeda/SE846 etc, so it's hard to say. Ipmedance is low, so it may have an effect. Better may be to try one of the Penon impedance adapters http://penonaudio.com/3.5mm-Male-to-3.5mm-Female-Impedance-Adapter ?search=impedance for like 8 bucks and see what it does.

I know this is not the thread, but Manny T. (the 'Man') comes here once in a while.

    Rant on:

The 15v HPA requirements just rendered our LPS4 useless! Of which YOU guys said will benefit from. The reason why WE backed it up (LPS4) on the first place.

If you want a 15v HPA do it on retail ore have an IGG exclusive 12v variant. Satisfy your backers first w/c are long, long, long overdue.

    Rant off:

    Sorry.....

I am thinking about upgrading my USB power with either:

Schiit Wyrd / Wyred 4 Sound Recover / Lightspeed Revive / iPurifier 2

Has anyone used these or compared them? What exactly would make any of them "better" than the other? Do any of them sound different? The iPurifier 2 is getting really good reviews and is the cheapest.

I have a wyrd and a revive.. the wyrd has the billp cap upgrades. wyrd = I heard no change.. revive.. I heard improvement.. can't really quantify the degree. but I use speakers so maybe it's harder to hear the differences.. billp said the wyrd does make stuff sound better

LPS4 users with HPA. We will help them to change voltage to 15V!
Actually 12V will work as well. I just hope to give the best to HPA.

I've seen a noticeable reduction in heat generated by the V2A when I changed the computer audio output setting from 96k to 48k. Cant just be because one LED isnt being used anymore, so I'm curious about it
