Loaner: RD-X (rhythmdevils modded Audeze LCD-X)

Whatever happened to the RD-X only loaner?

 

@rhythmdevils just looked at the loaner schedule, can I be the last on list? It might make more sense for it to stay in SoCal (if @ultrabike agrees) and then go to bay area to me and finally back to RD.

I only have 2 pairs right now and all my other modded Audezes are with someone who is writing up a review of all of them. And I need one here as I am making an improved version of the tube vent that will hold the earpadsonj more securely. I'm too much of a perfectionist and got a bit worried that the vents would cause the earpads to peel off after some time. But I bought a 3D printer and @loadexfa is going to make the new parts.

The RD-X + LauX tour only has 3 more people on it, so the RD-X only tour can just start after the RD-X + LauX tour is finished.

Also, anyone is welcome to join still for either tour. This pair is meant to be shared, so I can always make it work.

I have it. I asked RD for rfernand's address (he is not a SBAF user and we share no discord servers in common AFAIK) some time ago and RD told me he'd get it for me, but then had a downswing of health so we lost contact. I will find and contact rfernand directly and move forward. Sorry to have dropped the ball!

 

@shotgunshane Can I be changed from the RD only loaner to the RD + LAuX loaner? I no longer have a LAuX or compatible ortho amplifier.

Turns out @rfernand does have an account here (he sent me a DM), I suppose it can go to him after caute at a moderator's discretion. He is located in WA per his account.

 

Given the circumstances, I think it’s best to skip me until rhythmdevils comes back and connects us - there is no credible way to prove I am who I say I am.
