I am enjoying them in the iCAN, although I had to reduce the bass boost two settings. Still trying to figure out what works. The dealer made a big deal about the 100 hour burn-in and I know I do need to bend the headband a bit.
I will try this for another day or two and then try the LP.
I prefer the LP for my Elex's and HD660's, so maybe these fit that amp best. Lots of trying and guessing at this point.

Second day with the HP-2's. Today I am running them out of a Bifrost 2 via Liquid Platinum. Early notes:

    1) Wow, these are an open sounding set of closed backs.

    2) Clean, clear and I think pretty neutral.

    3) I like the looks. The wood looks more yellow in pics, but is more subtle IRL.

    4) These do seem a little bass-light, but that might just be me. I am only about ten hours in and I have been bending the headband a bit, but not extremely. So far I would rate it closer to my Grado GH2's than my Elex's.

    5) The isolation is great! Better than my Beyer T5's (that I am trying to sell) and that was their biggest strength.

The voices and all the instruments sound very clear to me. New live albums from Donald Fagan, Steely Dan and Miles Davis sound amazing.
    I clicked on my
Schiit Loki and things filled out very nicely, but I felt like I was cheating. I don't want a set of headphones that I HAVE to EQ to enjoy. Because I won't be doing that at work on or on the move.

On the iFi Pro iCAN there are four levels of bass boost and I use these on level two which sounded awesome to me and I also used the 3D option wide open. So, I guess I am full of shit in the last paragraph, as I love these with the iCAN.

Looking forward to more headphone and brain burn-in.:)

PS: As other people have mentioned, they are super light and comfortable. The Complete opposite of Cascades and HE6se's

Well, I have just finished 14 days straight of listening to these headphones. Going by the description of these, and to a lesser degree, the Gjallahorn's I was hoping for a very clean and clear headphone with solid bass.

Right off the bat it was clean and clear, but seemed bass light. It took me a week to figure that there was lots of bass but that it was a different kind of bass. It was very clean, just like the mids and highs. So instead of being boom-boom like the Cascades or even the Elex's, you can make out every drum strike and you can even hear the bass guitar or cello clearly, when you listen for it.
I did some very brief head to head comparisons and these seem much more clear than the Elex's, the Grado GH2's and the HE6se V2's.

The mids are Awesome and crystal clear. The treble is as much as I need and the bass is different from anything else I own. There is no blur or bloom. You can hear each individual instrument.

They are SUPER light and the pads are very deep and comfortable for me. I also like the generic 3.5mm connectors. I use the Hart Audio Cables for my whole system.

All my listening is done with a system that is a Bifrost 2 feeding three amps via a switcher. My final thoughts are:
    1) Liquid Platinum didn't really do it for me.
    2) Violectric sounded good and filled them out nicely.
    3) iFi Pro iCAN is AWESOME with these! I run the amp in tube mode with low gain. I set the bass boost at 20hz (middle setting) and the 3D on the first setting, 30/+.

I have gone through every section on my collection, which is almost 7,000 pieces of music. My tastes are new rock, classic rock, blues, horn jazz. Also, I am a quiet listener and rarely/never go above 75Db's. Outside of poorly recorded music or bad copies everything sounds great.

Lastly, I was doing some ironing on Friday and so I unhooked from the system and went direct from my Sony DAP, the NW-ZX300. I used balanced out in low gain. The volume stayed around 62, out of 120. Really nice sound, but not quite as full or bassy as the full system, which is to be expected.

After just two weeks, I may still be in the shiny new phase, but I LOVE these things! I am also very curious about Kennerton open headphones now. :)

Out of curiosity, could you photograph the baffle of these things? (behind the earpads)

I am not sure how to get the pads off?

If they don't pull out by the edges (like most headphones) they may have clips or even be glued on... I don't think it's worth risking damage for the sake of curiosity, thanks for trying.

I tried quickly. They don't spin off and there seems to be a ring behind the pad that doesn't want to budge easily.

    Sorry.

After reading what I could about them, I decided to purchase a pair. Received them yesterday 3/31/22 and have about 28 hours of burn-in on them so far. On the website, 100 hours is recommended but Walter of Underwood HiFi recommended 200 hours for "full" burn-in. I asked him about this discrepancy. In his reply, he stated the 100 hour got you 90% there, 200 hours all the way. I'm not the most patient person when it comes to playing with my new toys, so I'll give some brief impressions after the 100 hour mark and suitable listening time.

I ended up selling these as they were just too bass-lite for me. Nice clean, clear sound though.

I drive my pr. with a fully loaded ECP T3 with NOS tubes. I agree they are clean clear, but they have enough bass for me and I'm a closet basshead. It is clean bass while at the same time textured. The also have a wide and decently deep soundstage and sound good with vocals, acoustic and classical music. I'm taking into account the T3 is no soundstage champ.

They sounded pretty good on my iFi Pro iCAN with bass boost on, which they required, but I am cleaning house of closed backs right now.
