    Where I live in NYC that would be my standard advice to your typical person who may want to use it on the train and at work. But yes, I think the Senn HD6xx are at another level

    I think @purrin 's "How to allocate budget..." thread is very pertinent, especially at this price range. Could save a lot of people from wasting money

    O2 on wonky power is clipping hell and to think Nwavidiot accused Schiit's Asgard of potentially breaking headphones as the manual told people to plug it into the jack after turning on amp like most tubes. Clearly Nwavguy has never plugged a tracking/monitor can into studio gear and heard the driver fry off his head. Turning on the O2's shitty power switch slowly like an 85 year old man with arthritis might did the same deliver DC into the driver crap to my HD 280s that the Asgard did in the Youtube video.

    Will bring my O2 for my friend to test. I usually run off a set of low-self-discharge 9V NiMH batteries. Will see how they perform in power-line hell level 59874.

    Do you have the same negative opinion of the micro iDAC like the nano IDSD?
    I have seen the iDAC of secondhand in 200$ :rolleyes:

    ODAC isn't asynchronous. This at least is, paid Steinberg for ASIO support, and uses an AKM4430 and that has a higher number than the AKM4396 used in the Modi. Who knows though as how the analog stage is voiced affects the sound more than what Asahi Kasei chip is stuck in it as the Bifrost, Grace, and Modi 2U prove as the measurements are all more than you'll ever need. Why would you really buy it + an amp for at least $350 instead of the MMuber combo for 300 or the Grace M9XX for 500 if you want warmth for bright headphones or care about a euphonic "powerful sound" filter?

    Be that as it may, seems to have excellent measurements, according to our local magazine and the review was pretty positive too. They also chose the AKM chips and was pretty critical of the Sabre chips, like someone else around here.
