If you are referring to the ex1000, it didn't help the bass response by covering port. It works extremely well for the ex800st/7550... If you are referring to the Vegas, I haven't tried it yet.

@Marvey please share some thoughts between Vegas and Dorado when you have a chance. I am seriously considering the Dorado as well since I love hybrid done right.

I want to say thank you to everyone for their contributions and to Ken for coming here to talk about his products. I've just ordered the Vegas and eagerly look forward to their arrival.

    Kunlun,

Thank you for sending me your DD earphones to listen to and I have measured them for you. Here is the EX1000

and here is the Vega superimposed over the EX1000

The Vegas are more sensitive than the EX1000.

The EX1000 has two vents, front and rear. Blocking the front vent (the larger of them) should work similarly to the EX800ST/7550.

As for the Vegas, the post I linked says it's a back vent, so blocking isn't likely to give you the bass boost you're hoping for. ;)

Thanks bro, I didn't realize there were 2 vents. Been a while since I tried, however I don't recall which one I blocked.
