    I forgot a 5 channel cheapo avr I have with 5 pre out/power in rca's that output 70 watts per channel. I doubt I'll set up syn to be a permanent surround sound, but I will give this a try. Too bad I don't have 5 matching speakers ....

    Don't forget the number one selling point of this: you can always use the two channel output to make surround sound with Syn no matter how standards change.

    Your a/v receiver cannot say the same.

    It's a revolution, man!

    My initial impressions for Syn are pretty favorable. As a soundstage tweaking device (Syn feeding FV), I’m highly impressed. I can go from stadium to intimate studio, 40th row to right in the performers face. it’s pretty cool.

    I think that the low pass at 80 hz is somewhat low for my NHT Superzeros which have a FR of 85-20k but with 4 in woofers I like to cut them off at 120 Hz.

    This was only a guess before the Syn was launched. I think they also like the association with the word "sin", like multi-channel audio is a "sin."
