Correct. They take Comply T400 (or equivalent tips) and you get the same build options as a custom.

@shotgunshane I'm still loving Deca. They absolutely nail 'slightly down-sloping'. Mike definitely knows what he is doing!

I would really like to hear AR6 now...

Was chatting with Jack Veng earlier. As most of you probably know they are adding Adel Tech to their IEMS. I should have the Savage 9 Adel and regular next week. I'll post some impressions up at some point. Looking forward to hearing them.

@shotgunshane Have you heard the Zeus or r?

@shotgunshane, you know what I'm going to ask... ;). What IEMS does the ZR compare to bass wise? How well does it respond to eq? TIA bro.

I heard the Zeus (14 drivers), Apollo (10 drivers), and Spartan (4 drivers) at RMAF.
Both the Zeus and the Apollo were demos that had switches on them (which I believe triggered a resistor network and alternate tuning).
I really liked the Apollo (switch in the up-position/R-version?) and the Spartan. Zeus had great layering and front to back dimensionality, but other two had my style of tonality during my rather quick demos.
The Spartan I heard was great without any adjustability. There was also a prototype ADEL version of Spartan that had TWO adjustable controls.
I'd need to spend a good amount of time fiddling in a quiet place with the ADEL version to know if I would rather have the adjustability.

Hmm, perhaps similar quantity to the UM Martian? Zeus R has less bass quantity than the K10UA I heard. It's a bit of shallow W with most emphasis on the middle of the W signature. Bass is titled towards deep bass (not sub bass but not mid bass, as is most EE higher model iems). The original Zeus, without the added crossover, feels bassier due to increased warmth from more lower midrange emphasis. It also lacks the treble sparkle of the R. Basically the R model moves a little more neutral than the more obviously colored original Zeus. As CeeTee mentioned, layering is the forte of the Zeus and even thought the R version is better at most things than the original, the original is arguably the best iem at layering I've heard.

So not really sure if Zeus is up your alley or not. Probably the original more so than the R. I've yet to hear the Adel version but should soon. I'm not sure what EE does, if anything, different for the Zeus tuning to accommodate the Adel modules but I'm going to assume they might increase the bass response a bit. We shall see. I've not heard the Savage models but I'm willing to bet those are right in your wheelhouse.

Not heard Tia. I want to for curiosity sake but I'm not really impressed by the pricing strategy. I have a feeling the portable market is about to hit pricing fatigue.

I forgot to address EQ. Unfortunately I've never tried EQ'ing Zeus. I only use it on my AK100>Mojo stack via optical cable. In this configuration, the AK will not pass an EQ'd signal. I don't use it straight form my iPhone 6S+ because that has approximately 3.3 ohms output impedance, which makes the Zeus (original and R) darker by removing treble emphasis. Most EE models need less than 1 ohm output impedance to sound their best. The Cerberus and Spartan are a bit less influenced by output Z.

Edit: I just remembered I have the iPhone 7 lightning to headphone dongle and it is less than 1 ohm. 0.3 to be exact. I'll have to give it a try next week and let you know about EQ. Headed to Seattle today. Go Falcons!

@shotgunshane , that explains (the iPhone 7 dongle) why the Andromeda sounds a little more bassy on the 7 compared to my old 6s. I thought I was going crazy so thanks for the confirmation on the zout.

@shotgunshane Thanks for the detailed response brother, greatly appreciated. You are the second person to rec the OG Zeus to me, so I'm thinking if I go that route, I will order the OG.

No, I don't have any connections to try Noble stuff, so I'll have to wait and see if they come back to Canlanta next year.

Really? That's crazy, I thought Noble would love to have you review their products... Unless they are scared!! J/k.

I'd really like to see what you think of the Katana. Ive been using MY K10s at night, for me they are good to sleep in. I like the K10s, but I don't love them. I've been trying to give them more time in my ears, but when I'm getting ready to listen, they are not the first, second, or even 3rd iem I go for. I find it absolutely amazing that they have 25 consecutive 5 star reviews on head-fi.

I don't think they are bad in anyway, but I also feel they don't excel at any one thing. They are basically good at everything...they don't have any strong or weak points. Still curious about the Katanas and the Dulce.

Neutral/flat/reference type sound signature with accurate timbre reproduction on string instruments without annoying peak on upper mid or lower treble section.

What comply tips do you recommend for the ER4 series? I'm deciding between the T100 and P100. Ever tried the pro series?

Have you tried shure olive foam tips?
I use my ER4B with that, and love it

I demoed the IT03 a few weeks back for about 10 minutes or so. Thought they were decent - tonality was rather similar to my Tenores. My niggle with it was that it had MORE sub-bass than the Tenores (which may be better for your preferences) and didn't sound that much better in terms of technicalities (detail, sense of space) to justify the increased price. But do keep in mind that I'm an el cheapo bastard who loves KSC75 levels of value...

P.S. Oriveti Primacys were a little U-shaped for my taste, maybe a little less tizziness in the upper treble (8-10k I think?) might do it wonders. Didn't like any of the Ditas I tried.

That would fit my preferences just fine. Thank you!! Totally agree with you regarding the Dita's, basically opposite of what I like.
