The Mjolnir 2 thread

I am very happy with Folkvangr as a Grado toy but @atomicbob ’s plots on the MJ3 convinced me to give it as spin. A friend had one of the first black ones and I tried it. It is quite a different machine. I don’t know if I can call it an upgrade to the MJ2 — they do different things. The MJ2 synergizes so well with Gungir (a bit better than MJ3), whereas the MJ3 is probably the only amp that can get close to milking everything the Yggdrasil A2 has to offer, AND it’s super, super happy with Dan Clarks and Audezes.

 

I think it's fair to call MJ3 an upgrade because (technicals - flaws) is still a higher score than MJ2. MJ2 is strong mid-fi, MJ3 is entry level bigboi. Chain synergy can throw the end result to either side but isn't that always true?

Also equally excellent with Yggdrasil A1/GS.
