Is it my bad memory or BW2 has been sold for $1k around here?

 

Mine was a little south of $1300, if I recall correctly. That's after shipping and all that.

I had a super awesome Friend sell me mine. He wanted it to stay in the SBAF family (and if I ever sell it to someone, it will continue to remain so) which is probably why the price was so great. I might be out of touch with pricing on this, but I would be shocked if you found one on HF for less than $1500. $1700 seems a bit much.

 

In the US BW2 run between 1200 and 1500. Europe they are a bit higher so 1500 to 1700.

 

I bought a V1 for 1150 a year ago. From what I've seen, I thought these usually continue to sell for around their original price, and of course a fair bit more in Europe.

 

Sonic Frontiers SFD-2 MKII on eBay for $2,100 BIN. Seems high, and given that this seller is listing some used home theater equipment for higher than MSRP I wonder if they use a "price high and look for offers" approach?

I know that SFD-1's go for around $750-1000, but don't have a price-point benchmark for the SFD-2, especially the MKII. @purr1n any thoughts here?

That is virtual insanity, I think I struggled to sell my mk2 for significantly less than that some 1-2 years back. I'd recommend offering him $1400 and seeing what happens.

Sounds to me like the seller is a douchebag and I would avoid offering him anything at all costs. Seriously, if he wants to jerk people off with those prices, the buying experience is probably going to be shit. Don't need the brain damage.

This is fun. I submitted an offer at $1500, he had two other offers already. Counter offer just came back at $1900, so his target might be $1800.

 

Offer to me is now $1700 + 35 shipping. Yeahs or Neas at that price?

I probably bought around 1600 but took a hit at 1400 as above.

I would NOT pay that much for a non-partsconnexion upgraded or checked up unit.
The partsconnexion SE++ version sold for much less than what he is offering & that would be a big step up in sound quality.

$1300-$1400 would be a fair price for it.

 

Think we're getting two different items confused here that are being debated but right around the same price-point.

@ogodei is talking about a BW2, with @Elnrik and @Gaspasser giving input on that amp while I'm looking at the SFD-2 MkII and @Mr.Sneis, @msommers, @DEATHxMACHINE (and @Elnrik also) giving input on the DAC.
