A buyer purchased a Massdrop MCTH + LPS from me off here in SBAF. They were not a friend, but I took a chance. I too was once a non-friend. Items shipped in separate boxes due to size/weight. The MCTH arrived fine, the LPS said it was delivered, but had the wrong zip code listed. Buyer or USPS could not locate. Initiated find package in USPS, nothing to come of it. Buyer was initially happy and said $225 w/shipping (not +shipping) was great for the MCTH alone.

Opened claim with USPS, and they eventually ,after two months, paid me $62, the cost of what I paid for the unit, plus shipping when purchased. Not even the shipment that I paid for that was lost was refunded. I also purchased power cords and connectors for the LPS, making my total investment in it about $100 (including both shipping charges).

This is when things went awry. There was some mis-communication when I asked and wondered what actually happened to the package. Buyer assumed I was making assumptions that he had the LPS and I was scamming him. He got so worked up, he started a PM with Marv, who then brought in all the other mods. He originally wanted a full refund, but wanted it before he sent back the MCTH to me. I refused and said I would give him a full refund upon arrival of the unit and inspection.

In being so worked up, he deleted my address and needed it again. I offered to give him the full amount of the USPS refund and he can keep the MCTH. He agreed and said, I am fine with just $50 so you can at least get a refund on your shipping. I said no, I am going to give you the full amount, because obviously he is an unhappy buyer. Buyer was banned for 2 weeks in SBAF for causing such a stir and trying to involve Marv into all of this while he is ill.

USPS check finally arrived and cleared. Issued a refund for $62. Buyers ban was lifted. Buyer was upset PayPal took out transaction fees of $2.10. Buyer was upset and before I could even respond, buyer left negative feedback on HF. I responded kindly and said I made a mistake and I will refund the $2.10 if negative feedback was removed. Response from buyer: "f you don’t feel well about the sale experience why don’t you leave me a negative feedback as well?" Negative feedback was then left for buyer on HF. Then for me again and back and fourth. He left 5 for me, I stopped at 3 for him.

After all of this, buyer has been permanently banned from SBAF for being unreasonable. Since then buyer has: left 5 (yes 5) negative feedback comments on my HF, left negative feedback on HF for SBAF moderators, has called me names, and now has threatened to go to the local police station, "since you literally owe me $2.1".

Be sure to report him on HF. Leaving multiple feedback like that is against their rules and we all know how much HF likes to enforce them (written and unwritten).

I did. But I may need to again.

Note, this is after I refunded his precious $2+. Looks like he has moved on and made it personal.

Not to be scary, but these are the kinds of people that fly of the rail and you wind up seeing on the news you guys.

Now I know why you guys do friends only. I've bought and sold tons of stuff online and ran into one or 2 myself.

Shit, i saw he was looking to trade a QP2R for a WM1A and was considering it, luckily I talked myself out of it cause that could have been nightmarish.

All trader feedback that he left and that I left have been removed from HF. I knew if I mentioned that the transaction took place over on SBAF they would likely remove it all.

Give me $2 and I'll punch him in the throat. ;)

That dude cizx canceled a sale of his EC amp over less than a dollar because the buyer miscalculated the feeds to cover by about .26c or something similar. There are some weird fuckers out there.

    Well played!

You should have sent him the $2 in a Starbucks gift card as he wouldn't have been able to buy anything with it and it might have made the point!

Man, I remember that! Actually that thread popped into my mind when I went through this one. That cizx guy lost a four figure deal for literally over a dollar.

    I don't get it.
Why did chicken beer leave such a remark on Ultra's profile page? Was that due to a separate dispute (diff. than one posted by rtaylor1976)?
