Looking for a DNA Stratus. Thanks!

(Please feed my eternal blue hunger)

UPDATE: I am also looking for a ZDS. I've heard the Stratus extensively and would like to hear the ZDS to compare.

@shotgunshane please close at your convenience. Thanks!

Sincerely, thank you for the tip. I've been in contact with the seller. Unfortunately he wants to include some tubes and sell the bundle for $3700. That combined with it being an older version (Donald quoted me $500 to upgrade it) $4200 is just a little too much for what is being offered imo.

Let him sit on it for a while. He might be more pliable when everyone else passes too...

Even with all those tubes I think 3700 is too much. Used stratus is usually around 2200-2400 with tube upgrades.

Oh shit, I was so bedazzled by DNA blue that I didn’t actually take much notice of the price. That guy is off his dial...

When you see WTB ads for the Stratus popping up on a weekly basis that will only encourage sellers to come up with such asking prices. I got mine for 2300$ and sold it for the same price. Patience pays off. I was keeping an eye on the ads at Head-Fi on a daily basis for nearly 3 months until I had seen a Stratus popping up and I grabbed it immediately. Putting out WTB ads for rare pieces like Super 7 and Stratus is rather futile and will only boost the second hand prices, big time.

There was a nice Apex Teton for 3400$ on AudioAsylum a few weeks ago, for instance. 3700$ for an older version Stratus is iffy (regardless of the tubes you are selling it with).

Perhaps, although I would never of found my Sonett and Sonett 2 if I didn't have WTB ads out for them. I got them both for very good prices too.

I'm very patient. If someone wants to price gouge, I'll happily wait.

I agree. Especially when there are several WTB ads all for the stratus. I myself listed one WTB thread earlier this year and then I gave up.

I'm sure most people who own DNA or Eddie Current gear realize the amps are highly sought after, with or without wanted posts.
