WTB: PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 RPG/JRPG

Hey all,

I used to play a ton of JRPGs on PSX when I was younger (junior high / early high school) before I sort of grew out of them. Never bought a PS2 so missed that generation and didn't play much on PS3. Final Fantasy VII remake (part 1) came out for PS4 this spring, and I'm excited to play it, but decided to wait until the PS5 is released. In the meantime, I hooked up my PS3 again and pulled out my old games to play through a bunch before the end of the year.

Here's a list of what I currently have:

• Chrono Cross (PSX)*
• Final Fantasy VII (PSX - just beat again)
• Final Fantasy IX (PSX)
• Final Fantasy X (PS2)*
• Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
• Final Fantasy Anthology (FFV and FFVI - PSX)
  
• Final Fantasy Chronicles (FFIV and ChronoTrigger - PSX)*
• Final Fantasy Origins (FFI and FFII - PSX)*
• Legend of Dragoon (PSX - playing for first time now)
• Vagrant Story (PSX)
• Wild Arms (PSX)

* Just ordered disc copies on Amazon today.

I know a lot of these are available as downloads through the PlayStation store, but love to have the discs/booklets. Wondering if anyone has any JRPGs with discs in good shape that they'd like to get rid of.

Some examples of stuff I'd like copies of:

• Breath of Fire III (PSX)
• Breath of Fire IV** (PSX)
• Brave Fencer Mushashi (PSX)
• Final Fantasy VIII (PSX)** - I had this and beat it in junior high. Lent it to a friend and never saw it again.
• Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX)** - Had in junior high, but never beat. Lent it to a friend and never saw it again.
• Legend of Legaia (PSX) - Bought used in junior high. Scratched and froze on same boss fight, so never beat.
• Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PSX)
• Star Ocean: The Second Story (PSX)
• Suikoden II (PSX)**
• Wild Arms 2 (PSX)** - I bought a used copy of this probably 15 years ago, but never beat and only have the second disc now...
• Wild Arms 3+ (PS2)

** On the PlayStation Store for $9.99 or less, so not as big of a deal as the others.

If you're into classic JRPGs then I recommend Rogue Galaxy as well as Wild Arms: Alter Code F (remake of the first one!), both on PS2. Legend of Mana is a beautiful PSX game, might be worth investigating the series

Oh, and don't sleep on Disgaea! The tactical aspect is ahead of FF War of the Lions, IMO, though the humour is a bit more pandering to Japanese sensibilities.

Sold all my console stuff years back, otherwise would have had some of this. Reading this brought back many fond memories of many more wasted hours, haha. Good luck!
